Certifications
There are a number of skills you can be certified in once you complete your cert testing
CPR
•Attend the entire course and participate in all class sessions.
•Actively participate in all course activities, including assuming various roles during scenarios.
•Demonstrate competency in all required skills.
•Pass the final skills scenarios.
•Successfully pass the final written exam with a minimum grade of 80 percent. If a participant fails to reach the minimum 80 percent on the final written exam, a retest is allowed using the other version of the exam, provided that the learner has passed the practical assessment.
Stop the Bleed
•Complete both the lecture component AND the skills component of the STOP THE BLEED® Course to be considered COMPLETE and to receive a certificate of completion.
First Aid
•Attend and participate in all class sessions.
•Actively participate in all course activities, including assuming various roles during skill practices and assessment scenarios.
•Demonstrate competency in all required skills.
•Successfully complete all assessment scenarios.
Bloodborne Pathogens
•Attend and participate in all class sessions.
•Actively participate in all course activities, including assuming various roles during skill practices and assessment scenarios.
•Demonstrate competency in all required skills.
•Successfully complete all assessment scenarios.
CNA
•Have a 92% attendance rate in the Health Occupations class (994/1080 hours) and be a program completer
•Completed Clinical Specialty I and Clinical Specialty II with at least an 80% in each course
•Successfully completed the Skills Performance Record in the classroom lab
•Completed 55 clinical hours (must provide physical, proof of required vaccinations, fingerprint-based background check through WV CARES, and negative drug screen in order to participate in clinical rotation; must not be on the national abuse registry or the state and national sex offender registries)
•In the clinical setting, the student will practice their skills independently and once proficient, students will be issued an assignment that allows them to deliver care to the resident.
•To be test eligible through OHFLAC (Office of Health Facility Licensure & Certification), the participant must:
•Complete a minimum of 120 hours with 55 of those being clinical hours in which the student demonstrates knowledge while performing tasks for individuals under the direct supervision of a qualified registered professional nurse (RN)
•Upon the satisfactory completion of all the required skills and competencies in the course completion criteria, the trainee qualifies to enter a competency evaluation program.
•The competency evaluation will consist of both written (computer-based) and skills performance components. Successful completion of both components is required.
CPT
•Have a 92% attendance rate in the Health Occupations class (994/1080 hours) and be a program completer
•Completed Clinical Specialty I and Clinical Specialty II with at least an 80% in each course
•Completed 50 clinical hours (must provide physical, proof of required vaccinations, and negative drug screen in order to participate in clinical rotation)
•To be test eligible through NHA (National Healthcareer Association), the participant must:
•Possess a high school diploma or the equivalent
•Successfully complete a one of the following pathways:
םA training program within the past 5 years
םWork experience-at least 1 year of supervised work in the field within the last 3 years
•Each candidate for CPT certification must be able to provide evidence that he/she has successfully performed a minimum of thirty (30) venipunctures and ten (10) capillary sticks on live individuals.
CCMA
•Have a 92% attendance rate in the Health Occupations class (994/1080 hours) and be a program completer
•Completed Clinical Specialty I and Clinical Specialty II with at least an 80% in each course
•Completed 50 clinical hours (must provide physical, proof of required vaccinations, and negative drug screen in order to participate in clinical rotation)
•To be test eligible through NHA (National Healthcareer Association), the participant must:
